| Gunpowder The name of our Gunpowder tea can be attributed to its leaves, which are meticulously hand-rolled into tight balls resembling gunpowder pellets. Once brewed, the tea pellets gingerly unfold into full-sized leaves. The result is a potent, full-bodied taste where the slightly astringent and smoky qualities of this tea coalesce; ultimately delivering a sweet finish. Our gunpowder exhibits the subtle flavors reminiscent of fresh seaweed and miso soup. 1 teaspoon for every 6-8 oz. of water. Heat fresh, filtered, or bottled water until slow steam rises or small bubbles appear (165-175°F). Steep for 2 minutes. Can be steeped up to 2 times. see our small and large tins |
